Edgard Calamba
COTABATO
CITY – The president of the local Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas or
KBP – Edgardo Calamba - succumbed to liver disease. He was 49.
Calamba,
also the station manager of the Radio Mindanao Network in Cotabato City, died in
the hospital in Davao City where he was rushed. He was first brought to a local
hospital on May 17 and later transferred to Davao for emergency medical
attention.
He
started early on his career, climbing up the success ladder from being a
utility worker in RMN Davao and becoming a driver and moved on later as a
reporter and radio host until he was promoted as a station manager. Calamba had
