INEC sets 9-hour power interruption Nov. 26

THE ILOCOS Norte Electric Cooperative (INEC) has advised its consumers of a nine-hour power interruption in some parts of the city on Thursday.

In a public advisory issued Monday, it said the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. interruption would affect parts of barangays 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 along Siazon Road, and the streets along Nolasco, Claro Caluya, Mabini, Fonacier, T. Pasion Avenue, 1913, and Ligot.

Noel Andres, INEC information officer, said they would carry out the “conversion of single-phase to three-phase primary line and simultaneous distribution line maintenance” in the area.

“Work may be finished ahead of schedule and power may be restored earlier so please consider our lines always energized,” Andres said.

The INEC is the lone electricity distribution utility in the province, covering two cities, 21 municipalities, and 559 barangays with 143,376 member-consumer-owners and 164,550 house connections as of December 31, 2018. (BY LEILANIE ADRIANO)
