PCSO signs deal with Toyota for 300 ambulances

THE PHILIPPINE Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has signed a deal with Toyota Otis for the procurement of some 300 Patient Transport Vehicles which would be donated to various local governments and government organizations in the country.

PCSO Vice-Chairperson and General Manager Royina Marzan Garma signed the contract with Toyota Otis just recently. The procurement of the vehicles is part of the PCSO's "Patient Transport Vehicle Program" which will benefit local governments, especially those in conflict-stricken areas and vulnerable communities, including those which are geographically isolated or disadvantaged areas. 

Last year, Garma said the PCSO donated some 294 ambulances to 164 local government and 130 government organizations in all 17 regions in the country. The donation was worth over P466 million. (RE, Leila Valencia, Mindanao Examiner)
