The expansion is part of PhilHealth's commitment to provide
accessible and efficient services to Filipinos across the nation. Aseron
reiterated the importance of making PhilHealth more visible and welcoming to
the public.
“Bilang isang frontliner, ang mukha ng PhilHealth ay ating mga
field offices, ang ating mga mga LHIOs, PBCs, services tayo ay nasa isang
posisyon na kung saan tamang impormasyon lang ang maibibigay natin sa ating mga
kasamahan, malaki na ang maitutulong natin,” he said.
He acknowledged the financial challenges of getting sick and
being hospitalized, highlighting PhilHealth's role in reducing the financial
burden on individuals during times of need. He also added that PhilHealth aims
to help members save money for other essential needs.
To enhance the experience for PhilHealth members, Aseron
expressed his plans to beautify the offices, creating a conducive environment
for both the staff and those seeking PhilHealth services. He stressed the
importance of members feeling welcome and special when visiting PhilHealth
offices.
Aseron said the business center stands as a testament to the
organization's commitment to improve its services and make itself more
accessible to the Filipino people. Underlying this effort are the principles of
"CDO," which stands for Communication, Drive for Excellence, and
Offering Proactive Assistance, all aligned with the goal of implementing
universal healthcare.
Aileen Grado, a member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Mambajao,
shared her appreciation for PhilHealth's contributions to both individuals and
local government units. She highlighted various health programs, including the
Maternal Care Package, tuberculosis-directly-observed therapy, and the
e-Konsulta, which have significantly benefited the community.
Grado further noted the local government’s efforts to enroll
those not covered by PhilHealth, especially pregnant women, through its various
programs. She said the mission is to expand these services to more people,
ensuring that everyone can access the benefits of PhilHealth.
