ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives on Wednesday arrested three alleged illegal drug pushers in separate sting operations in Naga City in Camarines Sur province and Donsol town in Sorsogon province.
Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, the spokesperson of Police Regional Office 5 (Bicol), said the drug operations yielded suspected shabu with an estimated street value of nearly PHP75,000.
In Naga City, Roberto Decano, alias "Teting", 46, and Rico Relato, 40, both of Barangay San Felipe, were caught selling suspected shabu in an entrapment operation at about 11:35 p.m.
Seized from them were 10 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP68,000.
Meanwhile, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agent Rowell Eduarte said in Donsol, Sorsogon, a security guard of a government hospital was arrested while selling suspected shabu in a buy-bust.
Leo Castillo, 44, of Sorsogon City, a government employee assigned as a security guard at the Donsol District Hospital, was caught selling a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover agent along Tres Marias Drive in Barangay Poso at about 3 p.m.
Seized from Castillo, who is considered as the No. 5 provincial high-value target, were four sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP6,800.
The suspects were in detention, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (By Mar Serrano)
