Pasig starts house-to-house aid distribution to elderly

THE CITY  government of Pasig on Tuesday rolled out the house-to-house delivery mode of assistance to beneficiaries of the city's Hospice program, a home-based medical and psychosocial support services to indigent residents.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said around 200 out of 2,400 beneficiaries have already been visited by the local government personnel to provide medicine and vitamin supplements good for three months, hygiene kits, face masks, food packages, and PHP1,000 worth of food coupons as well as financial assistance/pension from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
"Para di na lumabas ng bahay ang mga senior para kunin ang tulong sa Hospice, nagsimula na ang house-to-house delivery ng diaper, gatas, gamot, DSWD pension, food coupons, at food pack (So our senior citizens no longer need to leave their houses to get their assistance, we have started the house-to-house delivery of diapers, milk, medicines, DSWD pension, food coupons, and food pack)," Sotto said in a Facebook post.
"Personal akong sumama sa unang mga bahay para makita yung flow ng pag-ikot ng team natin (I personally joined our team in visiting those first houses to see the flow of delivery), he added.
