THE NONGOVERNMENTAL organization called the Integrated Resource Development for Tri-People (IRDT) donated to the local government of Zamboanga face masks, alcohol and tarpaulins for various mosques in an effort to raise awareness on the deadly coronavirus disease.
IRDT Executive Director Kalma Isnain and Cecil Abuy, chairman of the Board of Trustees, handed the donation recently to Mayor Beng Climaco at City Hall. The donation was also witnessed by Jojo Abdusalam, the mayor's executive assistant on Muslim Affairs.
Climaco thanked the efforts and support of the IRDT. “Muchisimas gracias IRDT,” the mayor told the group.
IRDT is a volunteer organization founded in 2006 and engaged in peace building, governance, community development and humanitarian work in multi-ethnic, conflict-affected and vulnerable communities in Western Mindanao and Muslim autonomous region. (Zamboanga Post)
