Jesus Miracle Crusade’s powerful words attract more ‘souls’ in Philippines

Jesus Miracle Crusade in Cagayan province.

CAGAYAN PROVINCE – A gubernatorial candidate in the northern Filipino province of Cagayan has vowed to padlock all cockpit arenas if he wins in the May elections, saying, gambling is the root of all evil.
Rodel Dupaya Gerez, of the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan, made this vow after being baptized by the influential Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry. He said it is high time for everybody to surrender their selves to God and follow his words.
Gerez – who is called by locals as “Agila ng Cagayan” - said this is only possible with prayers through the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry.
Brother Danny Cuarteros, of the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry, also quoted the politician as saying: “Mr. Rodel Dupaya Gerez, who is a candidate for governor in Cagayan province, has vowed to close all cockpit arenas because this is the source of illegal drugs, prostitution, corruption, among other sins. He surrendered his self to God and he was baptized through Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry.”
Aside from Gerez, lawyer Reymund Guzman – who served as provincial board members for three terms – also joined the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry and was also baptized, according to Cuarteros.
He said Guzman is running for a council seat in Tuguegarao City under the Liberal Party of President Benigno Aquino.
Cuarteros said Professor Elmer Maribbay, an instructor at the Cagayan State University; and Jonas Taguiam – who are both running for the city council – were similarly baptized after joining the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry.
The Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry in Cagayan province is active in various crusades in different areas here and nearby provinces that it was able to unite the police, military and communist rebels to listen and accept the words of God.
It regularly hold bible studies among members of the army’s 17th Infantry Battalion under Colonel Jose Arn Real, the Cagayan provincial police force and New People’s Army as far as Zinundungan Valley in Rizal town and Pinukpuk town in Kalinga province in the Cordillera administrative region.
Victory in Jesus’ name
Cuarteros said: “All these miracles were made possible because of the prayers and fasting of our Beloved and Honorable Evangelist Pastor Wilde E. Almeda, the end time Prophet of God, victory in Jesus’ name.”
Almeda founded the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry. And last year, the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry celebrated the 15th anniversary of the miraculously successful Talipao Peace Mission led by Almeda - along with 12 prayer warriors that included Cuarteros - who helped the Philippine government convince the Abu Sayyaf rebels to free 21 mostly European holidaymakers they kidnapped in Sabah in 2000 and brought to Sulu province.
In the Sipadan kidnappings, it was Almeda who led the prayer warriors in successfully fasting, praying and negotiating for the release, without ransom, of the hostages. The incredible survival and strong faith in God of Almeda’s group led them to freedom and the miracle that also changed the hearts of many Abu Sayyaf members and their leaders is also in a book “Miracles in Moroland” written by American professor and author Dr. Sam Smith.
The book was launched in 2015 by evangelist couple Luke and Annalissa Smith together with Cuarteros and Hermie Limpin, who was also with the group of Almeda, when Abu Sayyaf rebels seized them in Talipao town during the historic peace mission.
Almeda’s only son, Minister Wilde James – who is based in San Francisco City in California in the United States – is also very active in national and international crusades of Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry.
In February, Wilde James led the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry in praying over Senator Bongbong Marcos who attended its 41st church anniversary in the Philippines.
In his speech before tens of thousands of members of the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry, Marcos said the long years of existence of the evangelical group - whose flocks have stayed together as brethren - is a sign of miracle.
Marcos also cited the outreach programs of the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry to help others here and abroad as symbols of strong faith.
“Alam ko po na kasama sa inyong pananampalataya ang pagmamahal sa lahat ng inyong kapwa. Ang pagmamahal at pagtulong kagaya po sa madaming ginagawang outreach po ng Jesus Miracle Crusade hindi lamang dito sa Pilipinas kung hindi sa iba't-ibang lugar sa buong mundo,” he said in a statement posted on the Senate website.
Marcos reiterated the need for all the Filipinos to unite and help one another to bring progress to the country. He said solutions to the lingering problems of the Filipinos are available and needed only to be implemented by a united Philippines in order to succeed. (Mindanao Examiner)
