THE DEPARTMENT of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday reported 88 more recoveries among Filipinos diagnosed with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) abroad, raising the total to 757.
It also registered 77 new confirmed cases and eight deaths, which brought the number to 2,310 and 269, respectively.
Despite the increase in confirmed cases compared to the previous days, the DFA noted that the daily recoveries increased to 13.15 percent, making its numbers now over half of the total number of patients undergoing treatment and remaining more than twice the total fatalities
The DFA said the new recoveries were mostly registered in the Asia Pacific and Europe.
At least 1,284 Filipino patients abroad, on the other hand, are undergoing treatment for Covid-19.
Of the overall case tally, 421 came from the Asia Pacific region, 682 from Europe, 673 in the Middle East/Africa, and 534 in the Americas.
