MARAWI CITY – After President Rodrigo Duterte institutionalized the “Balik
Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa” (BP2) program, Lanao del Sur also launched its own
version of the project to support the national government efforts in bring back
those from the province.
Duterte signed
Executive Order No. 114 which aims to ensure balanced regional development and
equitable distribution of wealth, resources and opportunities through policies
and programs.
These policies would boost
countryside development and inclusive growth, provide adequate social services,
and promote full employment, industrialization and an improved quality of life
in rural areas.
The Lanao del Sur provincial government
said it Balik Probinsya program is also aimed at tracking
stranded Meranaos in the country and provide assistance to those who wish to
