THE JUDICIAL and Bar Council (JBC) is now accepting applications for vacancies in the Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan Legal Education Board (LEB), and the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA).
In the CA, vacancies arose from the appointments to the Supreme Court of Associate Justices Rodil Zalameda, Edgardo delos Santos, Mario Lopez, and Samuel Gaerlan. CA Associate Justices Luisa Padilla and Jane Aurora Lantion also retired from service.
There are four vacancies in the Sandiganbayan after the death of Justice Reynaldo Cruz last February and the end of the term of chairperson Emerson Aquende and members Zenaida Elepaño and Abelardo Domondon of the LEB.
Meanwhile, two justices from the CTA, Cielito Mindaro-Grulla, and Esperanza Fabon-Victorino, reached compulsory retirement this year.
The deadline for applications and other documentary requirements is August 25. (By Benjamin Pulta)
