THE PHILIPPINE Boxing Promoters and Managers Association (PBPMA) will again give free rice to the boxers and trainers next week in Manila and the National Capital Region (NCR).
PBPMA president Dante Almario said they are planning to give at least 10 kilos of rice per boxer and trainer.
“Unfortunately, they have no income for too long, so we are raising funds,” Almario said. “It is also difficult to solicit money."
He said at least 300 people will receive from the fund of at least PHP100,000.
Among those who are participating in the initiative, he said, are Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde, Brico Santig, Jun Sarreal, Orlando Barcelongo, and Yolly Alfante.
