THE DEPARTMENT of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday reported five m ore Filipinos abroad contracting the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), pushing the total tally to 10,438.
In its latest case bulletin, the DFA said the new Covid-19 cases were from Africa.
While there are no new recoveries, the DFA reported one fatality.
With these figures, the number of recoveries stood at 6,654 while the death toll climbed to 791.
Meanwhile, about 2,993 Filipinos abroad are still undergoing treatment.
"The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare," the department said. (By Ma. Teresa Montemayor)
