SULU – The 21st Infantry Battalion has sought the support of the provincial government for its agricultural farming project in the town of Patikul in an effort to promote peace and development in Sulu.

Lt. Col. Gerald Monfort, the battalion commander, has met with Vice Governor Toto Tan and presented his project which will largely benefit the town folks.
The project is planned to be implemented in the villages of Danag and
Bungkaung in partnership with municipal agencies to empower villagers and beneficiaries
of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program - a human development measure of the national
government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to
improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0-18.
Tan has pledged to support the project, saying, he will always be
supportive of any program that will benefit the great majority of the Tausug
