LOCAL AUTHORITIES continue to apprehend hundreds of violators of community quarantine guidelines and ordinances despite repeated warnings by the task force on Covid-19 and the police.
A contributed photo shows a woman and a man talking outside a store in Barangay Tetuan without face mask or face shield which is a violation of quarantine guuidelines.
The Roving Patrol Compliance
Team headed by Albert Santa Teresa together with members of the Task Forde
Ordinance and policemen and soldiers have fined or penalized violators by the
hundreds the past weeks.
Many of those fined had no
quarantine pass with them while the others violated traffic laws and
ordinances.
Mayor Beng Climaco has not
tired in reminding residents to strictly follow the quarantine guidelines and
the health protocols to prevent the spread of the deadly respiratory virus that
had killed dozens since the pandemic began in March.
But many locals are defiant
and undisciplined, making it even difficult for authorities to enforce the
guidelines and the local laws.
“Adhering to quarantine
guidelines and minimum health standards will be our simple contribution to our
fight against Covid-19. Tiene cuidao firmi y sigui maga reglamento y protocol
para evita con el Covid,” Climaco said. (Zamboanga Post)
