THE DEPARTMENT of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) in Bicol recorded 27 new recoveries from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total number of those who have beaten the illness to 1,447 as of Sept. 30.
The DOH-Bicol said on Thursday that the new recoveries are from Albay (3); Camarines Sur (7); Catanduanes (4); Legazpi City (1) and Naga City (12).
"The fight against Covid-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus," Dr. Ernie Vera, the agency's regional director, said in a statement.
Meanwhile, seven out of the 330 new test results received from two testing laboratories in Bicol were confirmed positive for Covid-19. Six of them are from Camarines Sur and one from Albay.
The DOH-Bicol also said two new deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 78.
The number of active cases in the region is now 381, out of the 1,906 total confirmed cases. (By Connie Calipay)
