FRV to the rescue...

A MOTORCYCLE as “First Response Vehicle?” Good idea because FRV as it is called can now quickly respond to any emergency situation faster.

And Mayor Beng Climaco showed what FRV is all about during the assessment and evaluation being conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD).

Climaco together with DILG Regional Director Paisal Abutazil and OCD Director Manuel Luis Ochotorena witnessed the demonstration of the rescue motorcycle which can be used to help augment in the pre-hospital care needs in the community.

It has the capability to perform first aid until other resources arrive. Equipment in the rescue motorcycle is in the general category of basic life support from assessment tools, oxygen cylinders, immobilization devices, trauma management supplies, among others.

Climaco also handed over to Ochotorena, head of Regional Inter-Agency Task Force Executive Committee, the local government’s Covid-19 response efforts. (Zamboanga Post)
