THE LOCAL government paid tribute and honored over two dozen retirees for their hard work and contributions to public service.
As a tradition, the local government every year hosts a “Breakfast
Salo-Salo” dubbed “Agradecimiento Para Los Retirados de Gobierno” as a tribute
to retirees, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mayor Beng Climaco decided to
forego the practice.
Instead
of a formal ceremony at City Hall, representatives from City Human Resource
Management Office visited the homes of the retirees and awarded each of them a Certificate
of Recognition and P5,000 incentive from the Zamboanga City Government
Employees Association.
Climaco
thanked the retirees for their services. “To all our retirees, thank you for
all the years of dedicated public service, you have been an inspiration to all
of us. Enhorabuena desde el Govierno Local. Happy Retirement y Vaya con Dios,”
