Tarlac logs 26 new Covid-19 recoveries

A TOTAL of 26 patients have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the province, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed on Friday. 
 
This brought the total number of recoveries to 1,069, with the active cases sliding down to 217.
 
The Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force said the newly recovered patients came from Capas town with six, four each from Bamban and Concepcion, two each from this city, and the towns of Victoria, and San Clemente; and one each from Mayantoc, Paniqui, Pura, Moncada, Camiling, and Gerona.
 
However, the task force said seven new confirmed cases were reported, bringing the total number of cases to 1,336.
 
The new cases are two each from the city and Victoria and one each in Bamban, Capas, and Concepcion.
 
On the other hand, the total number of deaths stayed at 50.
 
Mayor Cristy Angeles said the city continues to prioritize the safety of the residents from Covid-19 by implementing several preventive measures, such as regular disinfection in public places.
 
Angeles also reminded everyone to practice frequent hand washing, wear face masks and face shields, and observe social distancing. (By Emmanuel Samoy)
