ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police arrested a drug dealer after he sold some P2 million worth of shabu or Methamphetamine HCL to an undercover cop in the southern Philippine port city of Zamboanga, officials announced Thursday.
Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, the regional police chief, said Fahad Sawadjaan Werble was immediately arrested following the drug sting late Wednesday in the village called Kasanyangan.
He said the police led by Maj. Salvador Galvez also recovered the drug money used in the operation. The 20-year old drug dealer is currently under investigation, according to Ylagan, adding, Werble, a local resident, is included in the list of so-called “high value targets” in Zamboanga.
Ylagan did not elaborate on the police operation that led to the capture of Werble. He said some 280 grams of shabu was seized in the operation. “Recovered from the suspect were six packs of suspected shabu with an estimated value of two million pesos,” he said.
He also lauded Galvez and his team, and the Zamboanga City Police Office headed by Col. Rexmel Reyes for their latest accomplishment in the campaign against illegal drugs. (Zamboanga Post)
