SULU – Maimbung Mayor Shihla Hayudini praised members of the Philippine Coast Guard who recently conducted a medical mission that benefitted many villages in the town.
Municipal government photos show the medical mission conducted by the Philippine Coast Guard in partnership with the municipal government of Maimbung.
Hayudini welcomed the Coast Guard personnel led by Admiral George Ursabia Jr. and Commodore Edgar Boado. Governor Sakur Tan also graced the outreach mission in partnership with the municipal government.
The mayor said it was noteworthy that even with the Covid pandemic, every sector of government has not been remiss in their outreach engagement with the community, some if not most, are doing it even beyond their mandate and beyond the call of duty.
The challenges brought about by the pandemic had shown the best of us as a people,” Hayudini said.
Tan also thanked Ursabia and Boado
and all those who participated in the humanitarian mission. Beneficiaries of
the medical and dental mission also received rice and other food items
distributed by Hayudini, Tan and Ursabia and Boado. (Mindanao Examiner)
