SEÑIOR CITIZENS in the region are set to be inoculated with Sinovac vaccine next week.
This was after the Department of Health-Center for Health Development Soccsksargen (DOH-CHD XII) received a total of 18,000 vials of the said vaccine at the Awang Airport in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao early Wednesday.
Dr. Edvir Jane Montañer, DOH-CHD XII expanded program on immunization manager, said that the National COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center released on April 7, 2021 an advisory, saying that Sinovac could now be given to senior citizens or 60 years old above.
“Previously, Sinovac is only given to adults 18 to 59 years old, but based on the studies and experts’ opinion, it was stated that now, CoronaVac or Sinovac could now be given to all our senior citizens,” she said.
