“China, my friend, how politely can I put it? Let me see… O…GET THE FUCK OUT. What are you doing to our friendship? You. Not us. We’re trying. You. You’re like an ugly oaf forcing your attentions on a handsome guy who wants to be a friend; not to father a Chinese province,” said Philippine Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. in an expletive-laced Twitter message.

And followed this with another tweet: “He doesn’t have a uterus. If he tried to give birth to a Chinese province it would be a ball of crap at best and the end of the regime. What is it so hard to understand about Duterte’s UN declaration that the Arbitral Award made all maritime features Philippines; no one else’s?”
The Philippines said Chinese Coast Guards were patrolling inside Philippine territories and that over 200 Chinese fishing vessels believed to be militia boats encroached into the country’s exclusive economic zone.
The Chinese vessels also swarmed around Julian Felipe Reef also known as Whitsun Reef at the northeast extreme limit of the Union Banks in the Spratly Islands of the South China Sea, and it is the largest reef of the Union Banks. And the Chinese Coast Guard is also patrolling the Scarborough Shoal, also known as Bajo de Masinloc, Panatag Shoal, Huangyan Island, and Democracy Reef located near Luzon Island in the Philippines.
Beijing’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin said Scarborough Shoal is part of China.
“The Huangyan Island is China’s territory and its adjacent waters are under China's jurisdiction. China urges the Philippine side to earnestly respect China’s sovereignty and jurisdiction, and stop taking actions that may complicate the situation. Facts have proven time and time again that megaphone diplomacy can only undermine mutual trust rather than change reality. We hope that certain individual from the Philippine side will mind basic manners and act in ways that suit his status,” Wang said, obviously referring to Locsin.
Locsin also reacted from Wang’s statement and tweeted: “Damned decent of them not to mention my name. I will mind basic manners and act as I’ve usually done in ways that suit my status. I did it well with China in the UN. I just lost it. But these constant provocations…no they’re no excuse for dropping manners.”
“No megaphone; it was an outburst of temper under repeated provocations in close succession by China against its Philippine neighbor which has kept reaching out for a measure of respect. It won’t happen again. Many any ways to skin a cat; a cleaver is not the right instrument,” he added.
Locsin eventually apologized for his tweets. “There is no excuse for bad manners. Read on. But I must re-earn the friendship of Wang Yi. I always leave him smarter. I could certainly learn his cool under the worst provocations as in Anchorage. Not a hair out of place,” he said, referring to China’s Foreign Minister.
Wang added: “Just as Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said, the differences and disputes between the two countries on some issues should not affect the overall friendship and cooperation, which is also an important consensus reached by China and the Philippines on many occasions. China has always been and will remain committed to properly handling differences and advancing cooperation with the Philippines through friendly consultation, and will continue to provide assistance within its capacity to the Philippines in its efforts to fight the epidemic and resume economic development.”
Locsin said: “I don’t deny China’s claim; it is free to say whatever it wants; but I do insist that the entirety of the West Philippine Sea and Scarborough Shoal belongs to the Philippines not by mere claim but by absolute right and legal victory that, President Duterte said, can never be.” (Mindanao Examiner)
