THE COMMISSION  on Elections (Comelec) has released the initial schedules of satellite registration in three cities in Metro Manila starting on Saturday.

The dates for the listing of new voters for the May 2022 National and Local Elections (NLE) have been scheduled for four barangays in Quezon City, Manila, and Pasay.

In an advisory on Friday, the poll body said qualified voter applicants from the 5th District of Manila, Barangay 649, and 5th District of Quezon City, Barangay Fairview, may visit their respective Barangay Halls on May 22 and 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On the other hand, those who would like to apply as voters in Pasay City's 1st and 2nd District may visit their barangay halls on May 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Comelec also set June 5 and June 9, for those who would like to register in the 5th District of Quezon City, Barangay Fairview, to visit their barangay halls.

The Comelec has resumed voter registration in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday, following its shift to general community quarantine (GCQ).

It is looking to register additional four million new voters for the next year’s polls.

Latest data from the poll body showed it has so far received over three million applications for registration since the nationwide voter registration resumed in September 2020. ((Ferdinand Patinio)
