AUTHORITIES ARRESTED on Monday the fourth most wanted drug personality in Ilocos Region during a buy-bust operation here.
Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) information officer, Maj. Arturo Melchor Jr., said suspect Jerry Nacis, 30, resident of Barangay Talogtog this town, was arrested by personnel of Pozorrubio police, Regional and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the PPPO, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Ilocos regional office.
“The buy-bust conducted at Barangay Cablong resulted in his arrest and confiscation of two sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 0.8 grams with a market value of PHP5,332, and other drug paraphernalia,” he said in an interview.
Melchor said Nacis was included in the target priority list of drug personalities in Ilocos Region due to the scope of his network in the illegal drug trade.
“He might be allegedly supplying illegal drugs not only in this town but also in neighboring towns,” he said.
He added authorities are preparing charges to be filed against the suspect. ( Hilda Austria)
