POOR FAMILIES in Taguig City thanked the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) for the food packs they received.
PCSO Vice Chairperson and General Manager Royina Garma sent some 200 food packs to families in the village of Palingon affected by the health crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The recent donation was part of the PCSO's commitment to augment the supplies and to contribute to the government’s effort in sustaining the livelihood of those whose means of living have been derailed by the intermittent lock-downs in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Emilyn Ubales, from Garma's office, facilitated the turnover of the donation to John Paul Ang, who represented the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Center.
Ang thanked Garma for the food aid and praised the PCSO's humanitarian commitment, especially to the poor. "Maraming salamat kay General Manager Garma sa mga food packs dahil maraming pamilya po ang makikinabang dito," he said. (RE, Mindanao Examiner)
