ANTI-DRUG operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) have seized PHP816,800 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust in Purok Kabulakan 1, Barangay Singcang-Airport on Tuesday night.
The operation, conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit headed by Lt. Joven Mogato, led to the arrest of two suspects identified as Bryle "Itok" Ramos, 30, resident of Purok Narra Baybay, Barangay 8; and Anthony “Butsoy” Morcilla, 33, who resides in the place of operation.
Both are considered high-value individuals, the police report said.
Around 10:50 p.m., the suspects sold PHP1,500 worth of suspected shabu to an undercover policeman.
They also yielded six plastic sachets and one knot-tied plastic bag containing the same prohibited substance, weighing over 120 grams.
Valued at a standard drug price of PHP6,800 per gram, the confiscated items were worth PHP816,800.
The suspects, detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8, are to be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation is the latest in a series of major drug hauls of the BCPO in the past week.
