Philippine maps”.
Postmaster General Norman Fulgencio and Presidential Assistant for
the Visayas, Secretary Michael Dino, graced the recent launching of the
postcards.
“Post
Office is at the forefront of change. Apart from the usual delivery of mails
and parcels, this time we will be the bearer of good news, hope, and
inspiration to millions of our countrymen in every part of the world,”
Fulgencio said.
“As the pandemic subsides, maybe this is the perfect time to
inject a breath of fresh air, appreciate the artistic talents of our
countrymen, and introduce a new generation of stamps and postcards recognizing
the true Philippine treasure, the most valuable asset of our country - the
Filipino people,” he added.
Each new generation postcard has a high paper quality print of 135
gsm (grams per square meter), with glossy and matte finish, new improved size
of 250 millimeter (mm; width) by 150 mm (height), and is rectangular, except
for the Living Legends series.
The special stamps and the postcards can be purchased at the Cebu
City Central Post Office and the Manila Central Post Office shop at Liwasang
Bonifacio in Manila. (Cebu Examiner)
