IOM, German Embassy donate ambulance

ZAMBOANGA MAYOR Beng Climaco thanked the International Organization for Migration and the German government for donating a brand new ambulance to the local government.

Climaco, head of the local Covid-19 task force, said the ambulance will greatly support the government’s Covid-19 response and during emergencies. Miles de gracias IOM Philippines and the German Embassy for donating to Zamboanga City an all-new Toyota Commuter Deluxe land ambulance as part of your support to LGU COVID response efforts. The ambulance will be in addition to the existing transport fleet of the City Health Office used for COVID-19 patients and during emergencies,” the mayor said. 

The ambulance, Climaco said, is complete with emergency equipment. The donation is a project of the OIM and funded by the German Embassy. 

IOM is a member of the UN Country Team/Humanitarian Country Team and is the co-lead agency of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in the Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster for internally displaced persons. (Zamboanga Post)
