Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., chief of the Western Mindanao Command, said policemen and soldiers exchanged gunfire Wednesday with Muksidal Jumadil in his house in the village of Kan Mindus in Luuk town, but he was able to escape. He said troops were hunting Jumadil.
Security forces, armed with warrants, recovered an M14 rifle and ammunition from Jumadil’s house.
“Your armed forces and other line agencies are working doubly to sustain our gains in peace and development in this part of the country. With everybody’s cooperation we are confident that the law enforcement efforts we launched together with our partners will reap more successes in the coming days,” Rosario said.
There was no report of casualties from the side of the security forces. (Mindanao Examiner)
