THE COURT of Appeals (CA), Sandiganbayan, and Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) will adopt a four-day workweek for its officials and employees starting April 4.
The measure is contained in separate memoranda dated March 30 signed by Presiding Justices Remedios Salazar-Fernando (CA), Amparo Cabotaje-Tang (Sandiganbayan), and Roman del Rosario (CTA) and made public on Thursday.
Under the scheme, court officials and employees shall report on-site for only four days a week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the remaining one day under a work-from-home arrangement.
Personnel of each office will be divided into two groups -- one group will report on-site from Monday to Thursday while the other will report from Tuesday to Friday.
Chiefs of offices or divisions must be separated from their assistants to maintain senior management presence for the whole workweek.
Likewise, all justices, officials, and employees must strictly observe health protocols.
The courts' move follows the Supreme Court's adoption of a four-day workweek starting April 4. ( Benjamin Pulta)
