ZAMBOANGA CITY - Undercover agents, backed by policemen and soldiers, arrested two men following a drug sting operation here that yielded over P1 million in crystal meth, officials reported Thursday.
Maj. Shellamie Chang, a regional police spokesperson, said Gary Sampang, 54; and Nasser Sahi, 54, were arrested on Wednesday. She said the operatives seized three plastic packs of crystal meth from the suspects, including the marked money used in the drug bust.
"All recovered sachets of suspected shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Forensic Unit 9 for examination. The suspects are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court," she said.
The drug sting was mounted by members of the Police Station 11 Drug Enforcement Unit, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, and the Philippine Air Force. Chang did not provide other details of the operations. (Mindanao Examiner)
