MAYOR BENG Climaco has cited the hard work of the members of the Barangay Information Officers’ Network in Zamboanga and thanked them for their dedication in providing accurate and timely information not only during the Cobid-19 pandemic but even in other issues and concerns of their respective villages.
Climaco said she fully recognized the tireless efforts of the BION members in all 98 villages. She made this statement during a keynote address of the BION Capacity Training for the first batch of participants.
The training was organized by the City Communication and Demand Generation Team composed of the Public Information Division under the Office of the City Mayor, the City Health Office and Philippine Information Agency and with support from the USAID REACHEALTH.
The mayor said the training is
intended to make BION members more effective and efficient in addressing
information needs of their constituents, as well as the spread of
misinformation and fake news. (Zamboanga Post)
