BEIJING HAS completed its donation of broadcast equipment worth some P140 million to the Philippine government.
The donation was coursed through the Chinese Embassy with Ambassador
Huang Xilian leading the turn over of the equipment.
Huang said since 2019, China-aided broadcast equipment, among them a transmitter, has successively arrived in Davao, Cebu and other cities, helping to improve the reporting quality and efficiency of many local TV and radio stations.
Because of the donation from China, the Philippines is able to heighten the skills and knowledge of communicators in government and expand reach in communicating the programs, services, and responses of the government to the public.
Part of the donation is a 10-kilowatt FM band digital audio broadcasting
transmitter that will be placed in the Manolo Fortich town in Bukidnon
province. The other equipment will be distributed to government radio stations
across the country. (Mindanao Examiner)
