Tan, who was guest of honor and speaker at the training induction program of the scholarship program of the regional government, told the dozens of participants to use the skills they acquired in the pursuit of having their own enterprise.
The governor explained that employment opportunities are in fact limited, but in business, opportunities abound. “When you have established your own business, you can help others in their employment because you cannot do it alone, you need additional manpower,” he said.
“It may not come in a straight line, there will be sharp turns and bends along the way, but if you work hard, and set your mind on your goals, you will get there eventually,” he added, explaining the challenges in setting up own business.
The training is being held at the Provincial Livelihood Productivity and Training Center which offers the following courses: Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II, Computer System Servicing NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Cookery NC II and Dressmaking NC II.
