BTA eyes establishment of hospital in Sultan Kudarat

SULTAN KUDARAT - A public consultation on a measure that seeks to establish a general hospital in Sultan Kudarat town in Maguindanao province was held recently by the Bangsamoro Transition Authority's Committee on Health.

COH Presiding Chair MP Suharto Ambolodto, said that the Bangsamoro government is expediting its efforts to improve medical services and modernize health facilities in Sultan Kudarat and its neighboring municipalities. Under BTA Bill No. 97, a level 1 general hospital with 50 beds will be constructed in Barangay Simuay, Sultan Kudarat.

During the consultation, MP Susana Anayatin reiterated the importance of including a ‘Halal-compliant’ provision in the proposed measure as BARMM is an Islamic region.

Participants may still submit their proposals, suggestions, and recommendations on the proposed measure one to two weeks after the said activity, according to MP Ambolodto. (LTAIS-Public Information, Publication, and Media Relations Division)
