COTABATO CITY - In a bid to improve access to medical services and modern health facilities for the people of Pikit town in North Cotabato province and its neighboring towns within BARMM, the Bangsamoro Transition Authority’s Committee on Health held a public consultation for the BTA Bill No. 98.
MP Suharto Ambolodto, one of the
principal authors, said the proposed measure seeks to establish an inclusive
and accessible facility to serve the medical and health care needs of the
Bangsamoro people.
Under the proposed measure, a level 1 general hospital with 50 beds will be constructed in Barangay Poblacion in Pikit. Following the consultation, MP Ambolodto said that the committee would consider all of the feedback and proposals gathered.
Representatives from the local
government unit, health, security, religious, and private sectors of Pikit and
special geographic area attended the said consultation. (LTAIS-Public
