ZAMBOANGA CITY – A motorcycle gunman shot dead one person and injured three other civilians in a daring broad daylight attack on Monday at a fisherman’s wharf here.
The shooter escaped after the assault at Taha
Wharf in the village of Baliwasan, just several blocks away from a military
checkpoint. The slain victim was only identified by his first name as Philix.
The wounded - Saramae
Saddalani, 35; Mohammad Saddalani, 26; and Albasar Abdul Amiril, 37 – were rushed
to the hospital.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the attack, but police have launched an investigation to determine the motive of the shooting. Gun attacks are not uncommon in Zamboanga due to the presence of hired killers. (Mindanao Examiner)
