KIDAPAWAN CITY - A powerful bomb explosion on Monday ripped through a provincial bus, injuring at least six people in the southern Philippine town of Isulan, reports said.
The blast occured at the bus terminal while passengers were alighting and boarding the bus owned by Husky Tours.
The explosive device was planted in the bus and detonated shortly after arriving at the terminal in downtown Isulan.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the daring broad daylight attack, but radical Islamist groups allied with ISIS are actively operating in the restive region and have targeted civilians in the past.
The bombing occurred just as Muslims are observing the holy month of Ramadan.
Security officials have not issued any statement. (Mindanao Examiner)
