Speaker Pangalian Balindong, a lawyer, personally joined his medical team in providing assistance to the town’s mostly poor residents. He also distributed money to the needy. The outreach mission, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and supported by the local government, distributed essential medical equipment and supplies to those in need.
During the medical outreach program, some 100 wheelchairs and 50 walking canes, including 25 crutches were distributed to people who required mobility support. This provision of assistive devices is expected to greatly enhance the quality of life for those with physical disabilities, enabling them to participate more fully in their daily activities.
In addition to mobility aids, a range of medicines and medical supplies were also provided to address the health needs of the community. The distribution of these resources was aimed at alleviating the burden of healthcare expenses for the less privileged members of society.
Speaker Balindong underscored his commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people he serves. By joining his team on the ground, he not only ensured the smooth execution of the outreach program but also demonstrated his hands-on approach to public service.
The presence of Mayor Alinader
Balindong, who graced the event, further highlighted the collaborative efforts
of the local government and the Bangsamoro Parliament in addressing the
healthcare needs of the residents. The medical outreach program brought hope
and relief, particularly to those with limited access to healthcare facilities
and medical assistance. (BSO)
