Typhoon victims benefit from INC outreach program

ILOCOS SUROver a thousand people here, Mindoro Island and Kalinga province who were affected by the recent typhoon benefited from the humanitarian mission launched by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC or Church Of Christ) Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity).

A photo released by the Iglesia ni Cristo to The Mindanao Examiner Regional Newspaper shows some of the benefiaciaries of the INC outreach program.

“Nagagalak kami dahil mayroon kayong ibinahaging tulong sa aming barangay, lubos ako nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat, lalong-lalo na sa ating Panginoong Diyos. (We are glad that you (INC) distributed assistance to our barangay. I thank you all, especially to God!),” said Jun Anigas, village chieftain of Nagsangalan, during the INC outreach event held recently in Vigan City.

INC members distributed care packages to people living in the villages of Nagsanglan, the villagers of Casigayan residents and members of Basao and Sumadel tribes in Kalinga. Positive emotions flood the events as smiles from both the receivers and the givers pour in.

“The INC - The Church That Cares - is a community partner that helps. Through God's guidance, INC has touched the lives of people in more than 160 countries and territories,” the organizer said. (With a report from Mindanao Examiner)
