COTABATO CITY - Various stakeholders lauded the authors of Parliament Bill No. 24, highlighting the bill's potential to assist those affected by armed conflicts and human rights violations.
The PB No. 24, or the Bangsamoro Health Care
Subsidy Program Act, principally authored by Deputy Speaker Atty. Laisa Alamia,
seeks to deliver quality and affordable healthcare to people in conflict-affected
areas.

Deputy Speaker Alamia emphasized that PB No. 24 reflects the Bangsamoro government's commitment to promoting collective and progressive efforts towards transitional justice, reconciliation, and healing within the region.
Before finalizing the bill, the Committee on Health
held its public consultation on October 26 in Cotabato City to ensure that the
public was involved in the legislative process.
Participants in the consultation included heads,
commanders, and representatives from the health sector, the Moro Islamic
Liberation Front (MILF), the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), and other
stakeholders who expressed support for the measure.
Committee Chair Dr. Kadil Sinolinding Jr. assured
stakeholders that their comments and suggestions would be considered during the
