ZAMBOANGA CITY - Hundreds of villagers were left homeless on Wednesday after a huge fire broke out in the southern Filipino city of Zamboanga.
At least seven people were rushed to hospital after complaining of difficulty breathing.
The fire devoured a neighborhood in the village of Tugbungan shortly before noontime, according to Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
"Seven individuals who experienced difficulty of breathing and suffocation are undergoing treatment," it said.
The Fire Department is investigating the cause of the conflagration. There were no immediate reports of casualties during the fire. (Mindanao Examiner)
