COTABATO CITY – Three major infrastructure projects are set start in the provinces of Maguindanao del Norte, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi in an effort to improve airport facilities.
Two VIP lounges will also be constructed at the Awang Airport in Datu Odin Sinsuat town in Maguindanao del Norte, and Sanga-Sanga Airport in Tawi-Tawi.
A total of 81 units of 120-watt solar street lights will also be installed in the airside and land areas of Jolo and Sanga-Sanga airports.
The projects were funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund of Members of Parliament Engr. Baintan Ampatuan, Amilbahar Mawallil, and Atty. Jose Lorena, with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications serving as the implementing agency.
The facilities are set to improve safety standards and
infrastructure, as well as provide convenience to the Bangsamoro people.
