ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police here have seized four kilos of crystal meth in a sting operation that resulted in the arrest of four people, one of them a woman.
Police said it mounted the secretive operation on Wednesday afternoon in the village of Calarian that led to the capture of the suspects – all high value targets.
The sting operation, led by Lt. Col. Elmer Solon, deputy commander of the local police force, was participated by seven police units and stations, including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
“The said operation resulted in the arrest of a 33-year old, male, of Jolo, Sulu; and a 38-year old male; a 38-year old female, and a 32-year old male, all natives of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, and all high-value individuals,” the police said.
It said police recovered from the suspects four large packs of suspected crystal meth weighing four kilos and the marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
Police did not give further details of the operation or the background of the suspects or where the drugs came from. (Mindanao Examiner)
