ILOILO - Forty senior high students from Dumangas National High School attended Monday an orientation at the Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) Main Campus-Tiwi Site for their immersion program from February 26 to March 8.

The pre-immersion event, led by the Office of Advancement/International Affairs and Linkages (OAL), was held at the Social Hall of ISUFST Tiwi Campus. Accompanied by their facilitators, Analy Jerez and Julius Sazon, the students were greeted by key figures from both institutions.

OAL Director Dr. Herman Lagon and OAL Secretary Julius Ruger Hermano welcomed the students. At the same time, ISUFST Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Joan Belga, CFAS Dean Dr. Roy Villanueva, and Fish Processing Specialist Prof. Cjay Soliven provided insights about the immersion program.

After Dr. Lagon's orientation and career talk, Hermano led a campus tour. The students visited ISUFST's facilities, including the fish museum, administrative building, clinic, university library, laboratories, and fish processing facilities, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the institution's resources.

Before the orientation, the students were introduced to the school community during the flag ceremonies at the school façade.
