FORMER PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte slipped to second place - in the latest 2025 senatorial elections survey with 38%, marking a decline from his previous 48% predisposition, according to PUBLiCUS Asia Inc, adding out of 54 names in the list, cardiologist Doc Willie Ong emerges as the leading candidate capturing 41% of the top-of-mind vote.
In its PAHAYAG First Quarter Survey, it showed the decline in Duterte's support was particularly pronounced in North-Central Luzon (NCL) and South Luzon (SL), dropping from 44% to 31% and 42% to 25%, respectively.
Following closely behind, ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo garnered 37% predisposition, lower than the previous quarter's 44%. Tulfo's support also sees a decline in South Luzon from 47% to 36% and Visayas (VIS) from 47% to 38%.
Meanwhile, Senator Christopher, former Senate President
Vicente
and former Senator Panfilo Lacson shared a voting
predisposition of 32%. But Go experienced a decline in various regions,
including NCR, NCL, and Mindanao.
Senator Ronald Dela Rosa receives 28% voting predisposition while Senator Maria Imelda Marcos and former Mayor Francisco Domagoso each receive 27%. However, Dela Rosa's support sees a decline in several regions, including NCR (from 28% to 19%), NCL (from 32% to 23%), and SL (from 32% to 20%). Similarly, Marcos experiences drops in NCL (from 41% to 30%), SL (from 31% to 23%), Visayas (from 39% to 26%), and Mindanao (from 41% to 25%).
Former Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo and Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro garnered 27% and 26% predisposition, respectively. Senator Pilar Juliana Cayetano closes the top 12 list with 23% predisposition.
PAHAYAG 2024 First Quarter (PQ1-2024), conducted by
PUBLiCUS Asia Inc., is an independent and non-commissioned survey. The survey
period was from 14 to 18 March 2024 using purposive sampling composed of 1,500
respondents randomly drawn from the market research panel of over 200,000
registered Filipino voters maintained by the Singapore office of PureSpectrum,
