MANILA - Aboitiz Data Innovation (ADI), a Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) start-up backed by the Philippines’ Aboitiz Group, recently announced its partnership with REPCO NEX Industrial Solutions (REPCO NEX), a Thailand-based company specializing in asset performance management and digital technologies.
The partnership will leverage ADI’s expertise in artificial intelligence and REPCO NEX’s strengths in robotics and digital asset management to develop innovative industrial AI solutions for Southeast Asia, with particular focus on digital transformation and asset maintenance.
ADI will build on REPCO NEX's expertise in artificial intelligence of things (AIoT), robotics, and turbomachinery diagnostics to strengthen its AI strategies and solutions, further expanding its capabilities for the industrial sector. ADI will also serve as REPCO NEX’s strategic partner for all things DSAI, bolstering their collective capabilities to innovate and deliver future industrial solutions - from optimising production processes to ensuring energy efficiency.
Through this collaboration, ADI and REPCO NEX look to expand their reach and offer their combined industrial AI solutions across Southeast Asia, as more markets in the region are looking to transit and adopt Industry 4.0 initiatives to transform the power and industrial landscape.
“At ADI, we aim to empower enterprises through our expertise in Data Science and AI. The partnership with REPCO NEX allows us to not only share and create new possibilities for the industrial sector, but also bolster our capabilities in this domain. This demonstrates that we can make AI work across verticals. We look forward to working closely with REPCO NEX with their extensive expertises, and are excited to further both our respective capabilities,” shared Dr. David R. Hardoon, ADI Chief Executive Officer.
Chakorn Kraivichien, Managing Director, REPCO NEX echoes a similar sentiment, stating: “We are privileged to have this strong partnership with ADI. Through our close collaboration, we are able to share our knowledge and expertises in our respective areas, and create a strong offering for industrial asset management and maintenance beyond Thailand and support the sustainable growth of our neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia.”
This will be the second collaboration of REPCO NEX with the Aboitiz Group. In May 2024, REPCO NEX inked a partnership with Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) alongside ADI to introduce the Philippines’ first smart power plants under “Project Arkanghel”, enhancing asset health and reducing downtime through AI-driven proactive maintenance.
“The partnership we have with REPCO NEX is done with the focus to deliver a faster and better approach to implement the digital powerplant across Southeast Asia. We are committed to work together to accelerate the implementation of annual preventive maintenance & operations, digital solutions, and a data-centric culture that operators can adopt. REPCO NEX’s method is a clear path to value and a solid foundation for process, technology and, especially, people transformation,” commented Luis F. Gonzalez, ADI Chief Operating Officer for Power & Industrials and Head of Applied Research.
Hailing from the Philippines' Aboitiz techglomerate and headquartered in Singapore, ADI offers data science and AI products and capabilities tailored for the financial services, power & industrials, and public sectors. ADI’s product lineup encompasses AVA AI, Alternative Scoring, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Intelligence, and AI for Climate/ESG. Additionally, its capabilities extend to generative AI (GenAI) and data management & architecture.
ADI is actively forging strategic partnerships to support its mission to make AI work for businesses in diverse sectors across the region. ADI had recently teamed up with Cloudera to empower Asia Pacific's financial services and industrial sectors with GenAI capabilities. The DSAI startup is also an official Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner for Select Tier Services and the Public Sector, boosting its ability to deliver AI-powered solutions. (PR)
