Rain or Shine and Ginebra enters PBA Commisioner's Cup SemiFinals

BARANGAY GINEBRA San Miguel Kings took down the Meralco Bolts 94-87 in Game 3 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals last night February 9, 2025, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.This win secured their spot in the semifinals, where they'll face the top-seeded NorthPort Batang Pier in a best-of-seven series.

Justin Brownlee led the Gin Kings with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists and was hailed as the Best Player of The Game , while Stephen Holt added 17 points. RJ Abarrientos and Jeth Troy Rosario contributed 16 and 12 points, respectively.

The Bolts were led by Chris Newsome, who scored 22 points. Bong Quinto added 16 markers, while Clifford Hodge and Chris Banchero had 13 and 12 markers, respectively, in the loss

Meanwhile in the Do or Die First Game of their semifinals matchup between Rain or Shine and TNT in the PBA Commissioner's Cup is set. Rain or Shine secured their spot by defeating Converge in their quarterfinals series, 2-1. Deon Thompson led the team with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists in their Game 3 win yesterday and was hailed as the Best Player of the Game.

TNT, on the other hand, eliminated Eastern in their quarterfinals series, also with a 2-0 sweep. Jayson Castro had a standout performance, leading the team to victory.
