Maxim Extends Assistance to Iligan Rider After House Fire

ILIGAN CITY - Maxim Rides & Food Delivery has extended assistance to delivery rider Jun Luis Noroña after his family’s home in Iligan City was destroyed by fire on May 15.

Noroña was completing delivery orders throughout the day when he received a call around 3 p.m. informing him that their house had been completely burned, leaving the family with nothing.

To help him recover, Maxim provided food supplies and granted Noroña a one month 0% commission support to help ease his financial burden while he continues working to provide for his family’s daily needs. Fellow Maxim riders also came together to donate clothes and other essential items for the family.

Noroña and his family are currently staying in a temporary shelter and are expected to move out in the coming days as they look for more stable accommodation. Despite the challenges, he continues to work as a delivery rider to support his family.

Noroña and his wife expressed gratitude to the company and fellow riders for their support during this difficult time, saying, “Dako kaayo’g tabang sa amo kay wala na gyud me nahabilin. Especially sa Maxim nga wala mi gipasagdan.”

“We recognize the hard work and sacrifices of our riders, especially during moments of crisis. Through this assistance, we hope to ease the burden of Jun Luis and his family as they recover from this unfortunate incident,” said Myrrh Ornopia, Head of Maxim Iligan. (PR)
